Where learning happens

Nestlings Early Learning Centre caters for children from the age of 6 months to school age

You’ll see and feel it as soon as you walk through the door Nestlings is a nurturing environment inspired by the natural world. Inside we have two learning spaces;

Te Ruma Iti is a calm, nurturing, and loving space designed especially for our youngest learners (6 months- 2 years). We understand that the first two years of life are filled with rapid growth, discovery, and the development of secure relationships. Through play, exploration, music, sensory experiences and meaningful interactions, we create a safe environment where infants and toddlers feel valued, confident, and encouraged to explore the world around them.

Te Ruma Nui is a vibrant and engaging learning environment where curiosity, creativity, and independence flourish. Designed for 2-6 years, this space encourages exploration through play-based learning, meaningful relationships, and hands-on experiences. Our kaiako support tamariki to build confidence, develop social skills, strengthen communication, and foster a lifelong love of learning.

Our garden

Our expansive garden invites exploration, curiosity and imagination. Designed to inspire learning through nature, it offers tamariki endless opportunities to discover, create, and connect with the natural world.

Children can care for our vegetable gardens, dig in the soil, climb, balance, and challenge themselves across varied landscapes, supporting their physical confidence and wellbeing.

Passionate and supportive

Our passionate and dedicated kaiako are working alongside the tamariki and their whanau to provide a supportive and fun learning program that meets the needs of each individual child.
